The annual slow walk on New Year’s Day will take place on Sunday 1 January. Meet on The Cross by the St James church at 11.16 am. This tradition started in the 1980s and is great way to start the New Year, meeting old friends and finding new ones.
It is a little over an hour long, all things considered, and a shorter option is available. Wellies are likely to be essential.
Bring your dog, partner, children, friends… everybody is welcome, no pre-training required. Come in whatever state you happen to find yourself on New Year’s Day! Lots of time for a good natter… no discussions are barred, criticism encouraged.
The ‘after walk recovery session’ is in The White Horse. Hooray! Beer, other refreshments and bacon butties will be on offer. Note: Buttie pre-booking required – so pop-in to The White Horse by 21 December and book – £5 each.
Blow away the disappointment of past years. Please remind your friends of the happening.
