New Year 2023 did not start well, with one of Stonesfield’s Speed Indicator Device (SID) being vandalised.
This was the fourth time in three months that the SID covering the Woodstock Road / Combe Road has been attacked. At the same time the 20mph repeater sign opposite the war memorial was also vandalised (for the third time) and the sign disappeared.
This vandalism costs the taxpayer money as each time either Oxfordshire County Council or Stonesfield Parish Council has to fund the repairs.
Interview have been taking place with possible witnesses and the police have been informed… again.
