Oxfordshire County Council Highways department (OCC) have acknowledged receipt of SAFER’s report and the request for a ‘next steps’ meeting.
Unfortunately OCC informed SAFER that Covid relief measures are taking an unforeseen priority and other pre-existing maintenance and ongoing traffic schemes are the current focus.
However OCC have confirmed that Stonesfield will not be overlooked but say “it may take a while to get things underway”.
SAFER will continue to push for progress on the matters raised in the report and in the meantime take local action to monitor traffic speeds.
