We would like to remind dog owners to keep control of dogs when walking fields with grazing animals.
There are many new dog owners since lockdown, dogs are a cause of sheep worrying and do chase livestock- sheep can die of shock even if uninjured. It is particularly upsetting and distressing for owners of sheep and other members of the public to witness incidents of dog attacks with deceased or injured sheep. Please keep your dogs on a lead AT ALL TIMES when walking amongst ANY livestock.
May we also take this opportunity to remind dog owners to please pick up dog mess and take it back to a bin.
