On Monday 7 Sept the WODC Development Management Sub-Committee met to review a revised application to build 20 houses in the Manor Field. The Committee resoundingly refused the application by 6 votes to 1, with 3 Councillors abstaining. Obviously, this is very good news, since the Manor Field is in both an AONB and the Stonesfield Conservation Area and is such an important habitat for wild fauna and flora, giving much pleasure to residents who go past it.

We now wait to see if the applicant will appeal or lodge an entirely new application. Any further developments will be communicated, as they happen. In the meantime, thank you to all those who showed their support to oppose this development by posting their views on the WODC portal last autumn, attending the site visit by WODC councillors in July, participating in the two Sub-Committee meetings and in other ways. Your support is appreciated and helped make the difference.
