Stonesfield Parish Council are producing a Neighbourhood Plan and have submitted the plan to West Oxfordshire District Council for Regulation 16 consultation. We are writing to encourage you to submit your comments about the plan.
Following the consultation, all comments received will be sent to an independent examiner who will consider whether the plan meets the necessary requirements to proceed to referendum and potential adoption. Comments will also be added to the West Oxfordshire District Council Website.

Your comments needn’t be lengthy or detailed. Simple approval will be helpful. However, we would draw your attention to the specific aspects of our proposed designation of Local Green Spaces (LGS) – these can be found in Appendix C – and our approach to housing developments in the village – Appendix A. These are vital aspects which will be very important in retaining the current character of Stonesfield in the future and we encourage you to endorse the recommendations of the Neighbourhood Plan in your comments.
The consultation will run for a period of 6-weeks, with the deadline for comments falling on Monday 23 February 2026 at 5pm.
