Burford is a vibrant community of professionals, traders and craftsmen whose roots go back for more than a century. The Festival aims to promote the social cohesion of the town and its links with the surrounding villages by offering a range of activities and entertainment to appeal to every part of the community. It is an opportunity to widen horizons by sampling new experiences at affordable prices.
Launched in 2001 the Festival runs every two years and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Any surplus funds raised, beyond what is needed to provide for future events, is distributed for the benefit of local community charities and projects.
