Dear people,
Thank you all so much for contributing to our event on Monday 8 May – most of you were there and everyone worked so hard to make it such a success. We estimate that about a hundred people were there all told and there was such a lovely atmosphere; I think they all enjoyed it and I hope you did too. Astonishingly 21 different groups or organisations took part, which is fantastic.
Thank you equally for anyone who was there who I didn’t know personally, and do please pass on our thanks to them – also our wonderful cake makers.
I would love to know if any of our groups represented did get offers from new volunteers. But even if not, I think we certainly did succeed in raising awareness and appreciation of all the great things you do as volunteer groups, and we also had a lot of fun.
