Walks with the Cotswolds Voluntary Wardens are not just countryside rambles but more themed walks which gives an understanding of the Cotswolds’ landscape. Sorry dogs are not allowed on these walks.

Thursday, 3rd January, 2019 – Start: 10:30 am
Difficulty: EASY Duration: 2 HOURS Distance: 3.5 MILES
Start point: CHIPPING NORTON TOWN HALL OX7 5AB
An easy walk starting in Chipping Norton and exploring the countryside beyond taking in the iconic Bliss Mill which once brought prosperity to the town. Pavements, grassy fields, woodland and an ancient track provide our route with possible muddy sections after rain. Many lunch options afterwards.
Sunday, 27th January, 2019 – Start: 9:30 am
Difficulty: STRENUOUS Duration: 5 HOURS Distance: 11.5 MILES
Start point: COMBE VILLAGE GREEN
A circular walk exploring parts of Blenheim Park and the surrounding area. Please bring a packed lunch.
Monday, 4th February, 2019 – Start: 10:00 am
Difficulty: EASY Duration: 1.5 HOURS Distance: 2.5 MILES
Start point: UPTON HOUSE CAR PARK OX15 6HT
This walk is in conjunction with the National Trust and although the house will be closed the car park will be open for walkers. As the title implies there are fine views in this northernmost tip of the Cotswolds. Stout footwear advised.
Thursday, 7th February, 2019 – Start: 10:00 am
Difficulty: EASY Duration: 2.5 HOURS Distance: 5.5 MILES
Start point: HOOK NORTON BREWERY OX15 5NY
An undulating walk from Hook Norton, which is Just outside the Cotswolds AONB. With good tracks, quiet lanes and grassy paths this is an ideal walk in an area not so well known. Optional lunch at Hook Norton Brewery café at the end of the walk.
Difficulty: MODERATE Duration: 2.5 HOURS Distance: 4.5 MILES
Start point: THE CROWN INN, ENSTONE OX7 4NN
This walk leaves Enstone to go past Heythrop Park and on to the pretty hamlet of Lidstone. A short climb takes us onto the Oxfordshire Way with good views before descending back to the Crown and the opportunity for lunch.
